Assistance to help keep Victims safe through planning and awareness
Are you a victim or do you know someone who is a victim of:- DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
- SEXUAL ASSAULT
- CRIMINAL HARASSMENT (STALKING)
If you are l8 years of age and older and are at risk of personal danger SupportLink can help
SupportLink provides:- A Wireless phone unit pre-programmed to 911
- Extensive Safety Planning
- On-going follow-up to ensure safety planning is as current and complete as possible
- Information and Referral to other services for longer term help and counselling
Through extensive safety planning SupportLink can help victims to become safer in their everyday life.
We talk about:- SAFETY while at home
- SAFETY while at work
- SAFETY while travelling
- SAFETY through communication
- SAFETY through Court Orders
- SAFETY through using a wireless phone pre-programmed to 911
To qualify for SupportLink:- You have reported your situation to the police
- You are not living with the accused
- You have reasonable grounds for feeling at risk
- You are willing to abide with all protective orders
- You are willing to work with the SupportLink Coordinator in preparing a personal safety plan
- You are willing to maintain contact with the Coordinator
- You do not already have a wireless phone
